Hanoi / Arrival (D)

Welcome at the airport and transfer to the hotel (rooms are available around midday).

Discover the capital city of Hanoi: a one-hour cyclo ride through the Old Quarter (the Old Quarter of 36 guilds – 36 trades), visit Ngoc Son Temple on Hoan Kiem Lake – a small lake in central Hanoi, the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and the One Pillar Pagoda.

In the evening, enjoy a water puppet show.

Welcome dinner at a local restaurant in the city. Overnight in Hanoi.

Ha Noi - Ha Long Bay (B/L/D)

On the way to Ha Long Bay, we will travel through the traditional Vietnamese countryside, with its villages, markets and rice fields, all enlivened by the farmers’ daily activities.

Arrival in Ha Long around midday and boarding the boat for a 24-hour cruise in Ha Long Bay.

Seafood lunch on board. An extraordinary landscape, “one of the wonders of the world”, with nearly three thousand islets and limestone peaks in fantastic shapes—turtles, sampan sails, etc.—scattered across emerald waters covering more than 1,500km².

Stop at Surprise Cave, where we are immersed in a mysterious atmosphere among thousands of stalagmites and stalactites. We will gain some height by climbing to the summit of Titov Islet to enjoy its panoramic view. You may also visit the beach for a swim, weather permitting.

Relax at the end of the day while enjoying the sunset on board.

Seafood dinner and overnight on board.

Ha Long Bay - Hue (B/L)

For those who wish, you can practise Tai Chi in the morning with traditional instructors.

Breakfast, followed by the continuation of the cruise through the bay, passing several beautiful sites before lunch.

After lunch on board, we disembark and head to the airport for the flight to Hue.

Several stops will be made during the transfer, including a visit to a ceramics workshop and a training school for all of Vietnam’s traditional handicrafts.

Arrival in Hue, meet the guide and driver, followed by transfer to the hotel.

Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight in Hue.

Hue - Hai Van Pass - Hoi An (B/L)

Breakfast at the hotel, followed by visits and discoveries of the Vietnamese citadel under the rule of the Nguyen Dynasty: the Vauban-style citadel, with its three defensive enclosures: the Citadel, the Imperial City and the Forbidden Purple City. A fine example of the expansion of Vietnam’s power towards the South...

A short cruise on the Perfume River, followed by a visit to the Thien Mu Pagoda, located on the riverbank.

Lunch at a typical restaurant in the city, then we continue south towards Hoi An via the Hai Van Pass, from where we enjoy a beautiful view over Da Nang and its coastline along the South China Sea.

Stop along the way to visit the Museum of Cham Sculpture and Culture in Da Nang, with its famous collection of Hindu-influenced art. We then continue to Hoi An.

Dinner at a local restaurant in the city and overnight in Hoi An.

Hoi An / City Tour (B/L)

After breakfast at the hotel, we will visit and discover the ancient town of Hoi An, a very busy trading port in the heart of Indochina during the 16th century. Its monuments feature distinctive architectural styles representing three main cultures: Vietnamese, Chinese and Japanese, including the Chinese Assembly Hall, the covered market, the Japanese Covered Bridge and a traditional Vietnamese house. Cruise on the Hoai River to admire the sunset.

Lunch in town and free time for shopping. You can also take the opportunity to relax at the beach.

Dinner at a local restaurant in the city and overnight in Hoi An.

Hoi An - Da Nang - Mekong - Saigon (B/L)

After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the airport for the flight to Saigon.

Upon arrival in Saigon, meet your guide and driver before departing for an excursion into the Mekong Delta. In Ben Tre, a region well known for its coconut trees, we will visit local workshops producing puffed-rice sweets, rice paper, caramel sweets and conical hats. A short ride in a rowing sampan through the narrow waterways will certainly provide a complete change of scenery!

Lunch featuring local specialities. Tasting the famous elephant-ear fish while listening to Don Ca Tai Tu music will undoubtedly remain in your memories...

Disembark and travel to Saigon. Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight in Saigon.

Sai Gon - Departure (B/L)

After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a short city tour: Notre-Dame Cathedral, the Central Post Office and City Hall, the Reunification Palace from the outside, and Cho Lon Chinatown, with Thien Hau Pagoda and Binh Tay Wholesale Market, to discover the country’s largest commercial and economic city.

The remaining time is free for shopping, followed by transfer to the airport for your return flight.
