Program Description (14 )
1
Hanoi - Free Time (D)
Arrival, welcome by the English-speaking guide + driver, then direct transfer to the hotel for check-in.
Welcome dinner at a local restaurant.
Overnight in Hanoi.

Hanoi / City tour (B/L/D)
A full day of visits in Hanoi with your preferred sites such as: the War Museum, the ancient Hoang Thanh Citadel, Hoa Lo Prison.
Lunch at a local restaurant.
Departure for a short walk and visit to Bat Trang village for ceramics, with explanations about the manufacturing process.
A walk to enjoy the sunset on the historic Paul Doumer Bridge before returning to the hotel.
Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight in Hanoi.

Hanoi - Lao Cai (B/L/D)
In the morning, departure to visit Duong Lam Ancient Village with a bicycle ride to discover this beautiful village.
Visit the ancient Mia Pagoda and Mong Phu Temple.
Lunch with a local family.
Return to Hanoi with a visit to Van Phu Silk Village and then Chuong Village for conical hats (Optional)
Back to Hanoi, free time and dinner at a local restaurant before the direct transfer to the railway station for the overnight train to Lao Cai.
Overnight on the sleeper train.

Lao Cai - Sapa (B/L/D)
Arrival in Lao Cai, welcome by the English-speaking guide + driver on site, then breakfast at a local restaurant in front of the railway station before heading to Sapa.
You travel via Muong Hum (the photographers’ route), a completely off-the-beaten-track road...
Along the way, walks through the authentic villages of Ta Giang Phin and Ban Khoang, where you will not see foreign tourists because we created this itinerary during our latest scouting trips in early 2016 after obtaining permission for the visits.
Picnic lunch.
Arrival in Sapa at around 16:00 and direct transfer to the hotel to rest.
Dinner at the hotel and overnight in Sapa.

Sapa - Ethnic Villages (B/L/D)
A full day of walking (around 5 hours) from the hotel towards the beautiful villages of Y Linh Ho, Lao Chai, Ta Van, crossing beautiful landscapes, magnificent rice terraces and charming ethnic houses.
Meals and overnight with a local family.

Sapa (B/L/D)
Continue the walk towards Giang Ta Chai village via the bamboo forest and the village waterfall.
Lunch with a local family before returning to Sapa town.
Free time for your own visits and discoveries in Sapa.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Sapa.

Sapa - Sin Ho (B/L/D)
In the morning, we take the road to Sin Ho, the highest and most authentic district of the new Lai Chau Province.
Stop at Thac Bac Waterfall for photos, then at the summit of the highest mountain pass in Vietnam, O Quy Ho, for panoramic views over this magnificent pass.
Stop, if possible, to visit a village specializing in rice vermicelli production.
Arrival in Sin Ho, visit authentic villages along the way: Ta Phin Village near Sin Ho.
Dinner and overnight in Sin Ho.

Sin Ho Market - Dien Bien (B/L/D)
In the morning, after breakfast, you will visit the authentic Sin Ho ethnic market, similar to Bac Ha or Can Cau markets in Lao Cai Province.
Visit the market, then continue towards Dien Bien Phu. 162 km, minimum 5 hours 30 minutes by road. Lunch en route. Along the way, stops to visit authentic ethnic villages.
Arrival in Dien Bien Phu, visit the Black Thai village with its stilt houses.
We take you along this very beautiful road, allowing you to avoid spending too much time in the vehicle by including several stops.
Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight in Dien Bien.

Dien Bien - Border Gate / Oudom Xay (B/L/D)
In the morning, visit the must-see sites of Dien Bien Phu: Historical Museum, A1 Hill, Cemetery, De Castries’ Bunker and the French War Memorial.
Lunch at a local restaurant and then continue towards the Tay Trang border gate.
VISA formalities, then welcome by the Laos team for the direct transfer to Oudom Xay (the provincial town of Muang Lay) in Laos.
Along the way, short stops to visit the villages of Muang Khuan - Pak Nam Nov.
Oudom Xay is a lovely small Laotian town that you can discover at the end of the day. Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight in Oudom Xay.

Oudom Xay - Luang Prabang (B/L/D)
In the morning, after breakfast, you will take the road to Luang Prabang with visits and walks through villages along the way. Lunch en route.
Arrival in Luang Prabang, visit the central market and the museum.
Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight in Luang Prabang.

Luang Prabang (B/L/D)
After breakfast, enjoy a full day visiting Luang Prabang with the must-see sites of your choice.
Lunch at a local restaurant, then continue your visits with the local guide on site.
Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight in Luang Prabang.

Luang Prabang - Pak Ou Cave - Ethnic Villages (B/L/D)
In the morning, departure for a cruise on the Mekong River to visit Pak Ou Cave.
A walk through ethnic villages along the Mekong River to see local artisans (weaving village, noodle-making village and rice alcohol village).
Dinner and overnight with a H’mong - Lao family. Evening with dancing and the Baci ceremony.

Ethnic Villages - Elephant Park (B/L/D)
In the morning, we rejoin the boat and vehicle, then transfer to the elephant park for an elephant ride.
Lunch at a local restaurant, then continue the excursion before returning to Luang Prabang. Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight in Luang Prabang.

Luang Prabang - Kuang Si Waterfall (B/L/D)
In the morning, wake up early for the monks’ alms-giving ceremony, then breakfast before departure to visit Kuang Si Waterfall (the most beautiful waterfall in Northern Laos).
Visit villages along the road and enjoy a walk through a reserve to discover brown bears before reaching the waterfall. You can swim there.
Return to the city and then free time for your personal discoveries.
Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight in Luang Prabang.
